THAT'S AMORE! Starring John Travolta and Katherine Heigl Closes Key International Sales

Palisades Park Pictures has locked distribution deals in key international territories for Nick Vallelonga’s romantic-comedy That’s Amore! starring Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe-winner John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty), Katherine Heigl (“Grey’s Anatomy,” Knocked Up with Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd) and Academy Award- winner Christopher Walken (Apple TV’s “Severance,” The Deer Hunter, Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me if You Can), it was announced today by Tamara Birkemoe, CEO and Co-Founder of Palisades Park Pictures.

Written and directed by Nick Vallelonga (2019 Academy Award Best Picture and Best Screenplay winner for Green Book), Palisades Park Pictures has sold the rights to That’s Amore! to Myndform for Iceland, Forum Film for Israel, Vertice Cine for Spain, Portugal and South America, Videomite for Turkey, Kino Świat for Poland, MediaSquad for Eastern Europe, Top Film Distribution for Ukraine, Selim Ramia & Co for the Middle East, Empire Entertainment for South Africa and Cinesky Pictures for airlines.

That’s Amore! follows Nick Venere (Travolta), who is a modern-day ‘Marty’ – he’s never been married and his best dating years are well behind him. He’s never heard the words ‘I love you” and figures he never will. Patty Amore (Heigl) has her share of problems, as well. Shy and introverted, she’s filled with various tics and nervous habits. A secret from her past, combined with her over-protective father, have caused her to withdraw from the dating game. But when Nick and Patty meet, literally bumping into one another, they share an immediate connection. When these two emotionally damaged people attempt to date one another, their families get involved, and the results are hilarious.

Production is set to begin in January on the heartwarming adventure. Palisades Park Pictures is handling international rights to That’s Amore!, and Cassian Elwes will represent U.S. rights

The film is produced by Vallelonga through his Vallelonga Productions, alongside Elwes for Elevated Films, and Brenda Emmett and Vince Emmett of American Troubadours. Mark Damon and Tamara Birkemoe of Palisades Park Pictures will serve as Executive Producers.

“We are delighted to have our international partners come on board and champion this endearing and delightful story, complete with a first-rate cast, and led by the great Nick Vallelonga” said Tamara Birkemoe, CEO of Palisades Park Pictures.  “This is a feel-good movie everyone can relate to and I look forward to discussing further with distributors at the AFM.”

Other significant feature titles on the Palisades Park Pictures sales slate include the completed action-thriller Duchess from director Neil Marshall, and Philip Noyce’s action-adventure Fast Charlie starring Pierce Brosnan, Morena Baccarin and James Caan.
