Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Cambodia’s first internationally recognized independent movie festival, CAMBOFEST: Film and Video
Festival of Cambodia will commence its 3rd season on December 4th,
2009, running through December 6th (with sneak previews anticipated on
December

3rd - including some Best Of CamboFest 2007/2008 Movies)

This year’s CamboFest will unspool near Cambodia’s
fabulous South Coast, at one of the few vintage, pre-Khmer Rouge movie theaters remaining in Cambodia:

Numerous international media organizations, such as the
CamboFest fiscal sponsor Media Alliance, and the Asia Pacific Screen
Awards, applaud CamboFest as a positive, entertaining, and independent
media platform in one of Asia’s newest democracies.

As per international & industry standards, CamboFest
secures all copyrights from participating filmmakers, setting a standard for
the region.

CamboFest 2009 is sponsored in part by the US Embassy in
Phnom Penh, with fiscal sponsorship provided by the Media Alliance,
allowing for 501 (c) 3 tax deductible support. Monsoon Pictures of Phnom Penh
is supporting the 2009 CamboFest effort through logistical and publicity
services.
