Cannes hit by Hawai sized monster waves : Croisette mourns
Massive 18 foot waves hit the French coasts of Cote d'Azur late on may 4th. Cannes beaches where particularly hit but the promenade des Anglais in Nice was the spot to be, that is if you are a kamikaze surfer (like Brice de Nice) having waited since the last swell in 1959. The constructions for the screen on the public Beach which were underway have been swept away, the festival organizers announced promptly that there should be no worries for the launch of the festival next Wednesday may 13. As far as I am concerned I think so much water is no good, champagne? 05.05.2010 | Cannes's blog Cat. : Cannes Cannes Cannes CDATA France French Riviera Nice Promenade de la Croisette surfer FESTIVALS
