On Wednesday, May 11,2011 The Lotus Lounge will open itsdoors in the renown Carlton Hotel on La Croisette Boulevard catering to movie professionals only for theduration of the Festival.
For many years, The Lotus Lounge was locatedon a commercial beach close to the Palais des Festivals and hosted some ofCannes' most coveted parties. This year, The Lotus Lounge is moving toCannes' landmark to better accommodate the privacy of its clients: celebritiesand movie industry professionals. Thisprivate lounge offers easy access from the hotel main entrance and aprivate entrance on Rue du Canada.
This exclusive location is a haven of peace, stepsaway from La Croisette's tumult and noisy scene. It allows an intimate, relaxed, yet sophisticated atmosphere and offers amenities such as a large bar,WIFI access, and plasma screens for running non stop video (commercials, trailers, etc.).
The Lotus Lounge is sponsored by Tesiro, one of the most exquisite jewelers whose diamonds adornedA-list celebrities on red carpets around the world. A Chinese company, Tesiro has inherited over 550 years ofdiamond cutting craftsmanship from Belgium and its design center is located inthe ancient Italian city of Valenza. This fusion of Asian and European know-howshowcases the true international spirit of the Cannes Film Festival.
