Cellar Door Film Festival Offers More Options for Filmmakers

Ottawa's Cellar Door Film Festival is listening to filmmakers. We've heard your advice and considered your ideas, so now we've opened more methods for submission to accommodate the needs of diverse filmmakers. In addition to accepting submissions the old-fashioned way by mail (we accept both DVDs and Blu-rays), we've expanded our range of options for online submission.

CDFF now boasts partnerships with the online platforms Festhome, Film Freeway, Withoutabox, Click for Festivals, Up to Fest, Film Festival Life, Film Festivals Hub, and Short Film Central. By offering a wider range of platforms, CDFF aims to meet the needs of filmmakers both locally and internationally.

These platforms offer a variety of features including YouTube and Vimeo integration (so that you only need to upload your film once!), HD streaming (so that our programming team may enjoy your film as it was meant to be seen), open catalogues (so that our team may discover your film!), and other benefits such as reduced shipping costs and secure access.

CDFF invites filmmakers to submit their films in the speculative genres (ex: horror, sci-fi, and fantasy) using any of the online platforms listed on our submissions page. CDFF also accepts hard copy submissions.

We hope to open the Cellar Door and see your film at our next festival!
