DOKUARTS-Symposium "Nuances Now"

The 5th DOKUARTS-symposium takes place on October 11 and will look at the current relevance of nuance and discuss its significance in the realm of documentary filmmaking.

DOKUARTS 12: NUANCES NOW
The 12th edition of DOKUARTS will take place from October 10-27, 2019 at the German Historical Museum/Zeughauskino, presenting 25 films about art from 16 countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Iran, Lebanon, China, and Pakistan. More than half of the cinematic work is either created by women directors or features female artists. All films are shown in Berlin for the first time, most of them as German premieres. Many filmmakers will be present to introduce their work. Films with and about: Mania Akbari, Miles Davis, Ida Haendel, Jacqueline de Jong, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Miloš Forman, Seamus Heaney, Toyo Ito, Naomi Kawase, Buster Keaton, Maleonn (Ma Liang), Piet Oudolf, Ziva Postec, Paula Rego and Orson Welles.
