Dont miss Revolution: A Digital Film & Music Mega Party

ClickFlicks.net presents Revolution: A Digital Film & Music Mega Party. Come celebrate the emergence of the internet as the most powerful independent distribution channel for aspiring filmmakers and musicians today.

Thursday, June 29th Ï 7:00 – 10:30 pm
@ Canal Room
285 West Broadway
New York City

The night will begin with a screening of the short comedy Groomed, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Joseph Raso. Currently being developed into a full-length feature, Groomed tells the comical story of a young man who, after dashing through the snow away from his fiancé, decides to marry his best male friend and live out his days in bachelor bliss.

Following the screening, Strays Don’t Sleep, a new collaboration between singer/songwriters Matthew Ryan and Neilson Hubbard, will headline the night with songs from their self-titled, debut album. Corresponding short films for each song will be projected on a movie screen behind the band as they perform.

The evening will be rounded out by live DJ music and a $1,000.00 raffle ($1 tickets can be purchased at the door).

About the Artists
Matthew Ryan and Neilson Hubbard head up the Nashville-based Strays Don’t Sleep (http://www.straysdontsleep.com), whose music blends “Sinatra, Roxy Music and Curtis Mayfield” with an overtone of urban folk. Their self-titled album, set for June release in the US, is a “sublime love letter to loneliness, hope and hopelessness (with) moods so sharp they're epic. Words so personal they're universal.”

Joseph Raso (Writer/Director, Groomed) won four awards at the Columbia University Film Festival for his film Together Alone. His feature screenplay Orgy received the Best Comedy Screenplay Award from Script Magazine, while his dramatic screenplay Fermat’s Last Theorem was the recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan grant.
