Inaugural Hip Hop Film Fest in Vancouver

Vancouver, site of Canada’s first International Hip Hop Film Festival.

Next September 1st-5th, Vancouver, BC will be the site of the first International Hip Hop Film Festival in Canada.
Hip Hop is music. It's Fashion. It's attitude and for 5 days in September, it will be Cinema as way of life.
Crossing racial, gender & generational frontiers and with movies from Canada, the United States, Cuba, Columbia, Australia, Venezuela, New Zealand, Brazil, France, Holland, South Africa and Japan, the Festival's mission to cross as many boundaries as possible will surely be accomplished.

The brainchild of Vancouver’s Fatblues, Inc., the Festival is supported by such sponsors as CBC’s ZED TV, The Georgia Straight newspaper, Hennessy & Dom Perignon.

The Festival will showcase movies from first-time directors, seasoned filmmakers and some of the genre’s classics and will be a celebration of Hip Hop’s vibrant and multi faceted Culture.

No Hip Hop Festival would be complete without representing all aspects of its Culture. The five days will be filled with roundtable discussions, Art & dance performances, night parties spiced up with the best Hip Hop Djs.

Additional information and the official calendar will be available in the following weeks. The official press conference will be held in Vancouver in July 2004. Stay informed by visiting the Festival's website: www.vihf.com .

Lights. Camera. Hip Hop.
