Jessica Biel will promote London at Montreal MWFF

Jessica Biel arrives in Montréal for the MWFF

The Montreal World Film Festival (Montreal International Film Festival) welcomes the American actress and singer Jessica Biel to Montreal today for its 29th edition. Jessica Biel will introduce the film LONDON, produced by Hunter Richards, as part of the First Films World Competition.

LONDON will be shown in the original English version at 9:30 p.m. on September 3, 2 p.m. on September 4, and 4 p.m. on September 5 at the Cinéma Parisien 2.

LONDON - Synopsis
Syd is a strung-out, wealthy 20-something whose life is about to go from meaningless to futile. After a massive binging and drug spree, he awakes to the news that he is about to lose his "one true love" forever: Syd's ex-girlfriend is moving from New York to Los Angeles. Syd has one more chance to win her back, tonight, at her going-away party. Syd stocks up on cocaine and goes off to the party with Bateman, a young English banker he's just met. Throughout the evening, however—punctuated by regular drug breaks in the bathroom—we discover that Syd's relationship problems involve more than friction with his girlfriend. Is there a light at the end of his tunnel?

Jessica Biel was born in Ely, Minessota (USA) in 1982. Trained as both a singer and actress, she worked for a while as a model, and then went into theatre. Her career began in earnest in 1996 when she played Mary Camden in the popular US television series 7th Heaven. A year later, she made her first appearance on the silver screen with the drama Ulee's Gold, with Peter Fonda. Jessica Biel caught the public’s eye en 2001 in the romantic comedy Summer Catch. She later appeared in the remake of the horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), and more recently, Blade Trinity (2004), co-starring with Wesley Snipes.

Jessica Biel recently announced that she would be joining the cast of The Illusionist, a film by Neil Burger, adapted from the Steven Millhauser short story Eisenheim the Illusionist.
