Locarno in Rome – September 1/6
September 1-6: the Italian capital will host “I Grandi Festival – Locarno a Roma” (The Big Festivals – Locarno in Rome). Roman audiences will have the opportunity to see a range of films from the most recent edition of the Locarno event. September 8–14, the MK2 cinema Quai de Loire in Paris will present a dozen films from this year’s Festival, selected from the Piazza Grande, and the two feature films competitions. Screenings will include Eran Riklis’s The Human Resources Manager, which won the audience prize, the Prix du public UBS, Benoit Jacquot’s Au fond des bois, Christophe Honoré’s Homme au bain and Isild Le Besco’s Bas-Fonds. Full program information at www.mk2.com

As it does every year Milan will also screen some of the standout films from the 63rd edition of the Festival. On Wednesday September 15 a selection of Locarno’s award-winning films will feature as part of the “Panoramica 2010” event. Films for the event will be announced in early September on the website www.lombardiaspettacolo.it.
