No one knows better than the Atlantic Film Festival that a film without music is like popcorn without butter. Which is why every year, as part of the Inspired Music Program, they produce a compilation CD in conjunction with the East Coast Music Association that highlights the best in east coast music.

From Nathan Wiley, to Joel Plaskett Emergency, to Spesh K to the Rhapsody Quintet there is something for everyone’s taste on the Atlantic Film Festival Music & Image Take 3 CD.

The CD is distributed to delegates attending the Atlantic Film Festival and Strategic Partners. It will also be distributed at other music and film industry events.

In addition to inclusion on the CD some tracks like Dreamer by Jenn Grant, I Know by Meaghan Smith and U Dream by MIR were used by the Association on the Festival’s film montage video and on the Sponsor roll calls.

Artists included on the CD are: Nathan Wiley, Rose Cousins, MIR, Joel Plaskett Emergency, David Myles, Sproll, Jenn Grant, Two Hours Traffic, Museum Pieces, Hey Rosetta!, Bruce Guthro, Damhnait Doyle, Chris Colepaugh & the Cosmic Crew, Windom Earle, Spesh K featuring Jordon Croucher & DL Incognito, Mark Bragg, Meaghan Smith, Dave Gunning, Jon Mullane, October Game and Rhapsody Quintet.

During the Atlantic Film Festival from September 18-22 the Inspired Music Program brings professionals from the music and film industry together to explore mutual opportunities, develop their skills and hear live performances from artists.

On Thursday, September 20th the AFF presents the Star! Canadian Gala Music & Image Showcase I at the Seahorse Tavern in Halifax, NS, at 9:00 PM features Rose Cousins (PE), Blair Harvey (NL), Jessica Rhaye (NB), and David Myles (NS). Tickets are $10.

On Friday, September 21st the AFF Presents the Anniversary Gala & Music and Image Showcase II sponsored by EastLink at the Seahorse Tavern in Halifax, NS, at 9:00 PM will feature artists Timothy Chaisson (PE), Mark Bragg (NL), The Divorcees (NB), and MIR (NS). That night will also include a screening of the 10 x 10 Music Video produced through the program. Tickets are $10.

On Saturday, September 22nd at 9:00 PM at the Marquee Club the Empire Theatres Closing Night Gala Party will feature Nathan Wiley (PE) and Hey Rosetta! (NL). A second screening of the 10 x 10 Music Videos produced through the Inspired Music program will also be included that night. Tickets are $25.
