THE PRIZE "CITTÀ DI ROMA - ARCOBALENO LATINO"
AWARDED TO THE FILM "PELE' FOREVER" by ANIBAL MASSAINI NETO

The Prize "Città di Roma - Arcobaleno Latino, created by Gillo Pontecorvo, is an award that lies under different flags - 37 countries from all over the word- to emphasize a cinema that encourages the cultural dimension the audience's intelligence, the quality entertainment the authors' personality the different styles and languages of the Latin culture.

The Prize "Città di Roma- Arcobaleno Latino", which is at its 7th edition, was awarded during the 58. Festival of Cannes to the film

"PELE' FOREVER"
by Anibal Massaini Neto

with the following reason:

"A documentary film that wisely depicts the human and sports parable of the best and most loved international soccer champion of all times uniting a huge research work, a pressing narrative rhythm and a delicate in-depth, in an elegant and an effective style framework that paves the way on history and on culture of sports and of the Brazilian peoples".

The Prize - awarding ceremony will take place today may 19th 2005, at 12 a.m. at ITALIA A CANNES 2005 (I-club) - Salon Croisette - Hotel Noga Hilton- Cannes.
