Perhaps Love was named Best Chinese Picture of 2005 by Taiwan's Chinese Critics Association separately Zhou Xun was voted Best Actress by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society at the12th annual awards presentation ceremony.

Distributed worldwide (except China) by Celestial Pictures, Perhaps Love is on general theatrical release across Asia. Not only did the film outperform all other musicals including Chicago, Moulin Rouge, and Phantom of The Opera in Hong Kong and Malaysia, the title also became one of the best-selling Chinese movies in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Perhaps Love also picked up the Best Foreign Language Film at the third annual Queens International Film Festival last November..
