Now going into its fourth year, The Minneapolis Underground Film Festival is happy to announce a host of prizes developed to recognize underground filmmakers and their hidden gems. This year two deserving filmmakers will receive Cinequipt Sponsored award of $500 each towards equipment rental (some restrictions apply). This year each award category will feature a cash prize as well as a sponsored award and filmmakers that submit to this year’s festival will receive $15 off an individual IFP MN membership as well as the chance to see any film that isn’t sold out. The submission deadline is October 21st and late deadline is open till November 4th for an additional fee, check website for more details.
This December 2-4 MUFF will continue to showcase underground cinema’s most provocative and original works along side a selection of festival favorites; bringing you acclaimed standouts and awarded features & shorts from festivals around the world. This year will also feature Maria Juranic & Pixel Farm who will showcase their work & lead forums, as well as “Everything is Terrible” who will be performing live at this years festival.
