VR @ Denver Fest

The Denver Film Festival, produced by the Denver Film Society, announced today the full schedule for the Festival AnneX. New to the Festival this year, the Festival AnneX is housed at the recently renovated McNichols Civic Center Building.

The AnneX will serve as a hub for Festival activities, highlighting the intersection of film, art, performance and technology. The venue will be open to the public daily, offering panel discussions, creative conversations, digital product displays, a public lounge with happy hour specials and a virtual reality experience. Presented by VR/AR Play Place and SeriesFest Season Two, the general public will get a chance to experience virtual and augmented reality through the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift platforms.

“We could not be more thrilled to activate the McNichols Civic Center Building for this year’s Denver Film Festival,” says Director of Development, Patrick O’Brien. “The Festival AnneX is an opportunity for the creative community and general public to gather, learn and experience together the latest trends as it relates to art and filmmaking, while helping the uninitiated dip their toe in the sometimes intimidating Festival waters.”

The Denver Film Festival will open Wednesday, November 2 with a sold out presentation of LA LA LAND. During the 12-days, DFF39 will present more than 200 titles representing local, national and international independent films, as well as industry panels, workshops, achievement awards and tributes; featuring more than 130 filmmakers in-person. Festival packages, a limited number of tickets to Red Carpet presentations of LION and THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN & individual tickets are on sale now at www.denverfilm.org and in-person at the Sie FilmCenter (2510 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206) box office.
