Reactions to Wong Kar Wai's "My Blueberry Nights"

Reactions came straight from the heart Thursday afternoon after the second showing of Wong Kar Wai's film, "My Blueberry Nights."  Viewers were not only willing but even anxious to talk about their reactions after watching the 151 minute film, the third film of Wong's to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival .

"Me, I loved it," said another viewer before continuing to how it affected her.  "I have a lot of loves too.  I identify a lot with the character 'Liz' (a main character in the film)."  The viewer happened to be from Memphis, TN, a city where the film takes place.  "It was beautiful for me to see my city represented.  And on top of that, the music, the slowness of it... the whole movie really gave me a sense of place.  He [Wong] always really evokes that,  I really love that."

One film student, however, had a more critical perspective.  "It was good, but actually I thought Norah Jones sucked.  And the editing was choppy," he said.  "The cinematography was interesting though."

Hey man here's a contest for you...

Hey hey-

Your video is good!

I know this sounds like another spam message, but it's not I promise, for the most part anyways.

Anyways, I'll cut to the chase. I'm looking for people that have done video contests in the past, and have done a decent job becuse we're doing for this one going for t-mobile right now. Right now there are only like 49 people that have submitted for it and it ends in 2 weeks!

I was looking at videos and saw your video and thought you'd have a good shot at this one too. All you need to make is a 2 minute video and if you win you get $10,000 and a new sidekick LX, and if you get second place to get $5,000 and a sidekick LX.

So right now you have a 1 in 49 chance of winning five or ten grand. Check out the full link at www.myspace.com/sidekicknation and hit me up if you have any questions! cool?

Thanks!
