Choosing a Film SchoolChoosing a film school is no small task. Some film schools can cost you upwards of $65,000 for your total enrolment fees. Choosing the right film school is no small decision. Before you enroll in a film course you are going to want to analyze two very important things. Firstly, you’ll want to understand your own film goals and ambitions. Do you want to direct films, do you want to write scripts or do you want to work on cinematography? Each film school will have different strengths and weaknesses in each of these areas. Some film schools will cater to people who want to own their own independent production companies while other film schools will cater to people looking to get involved as creative assistants on Hollywood film productions. After you’ve analyzed your own film ambitions you’ll want to learn more about the specific film schools you’re applying to. Some important considerations are.
However, if you don’t feel like attending a 4 year university level film course you may also consider signing up for local or online film courses which run anywhere from 1 weekend to 6 months in length. These course are also much cheaper ranging in price from $100 to a couple of thousand dollars which is much more in the price range of many people. Shorter film courses are also a good idea to check out just to ensure your own passion and commitment to the film industry. After a couple months if you don’t like the course you can simply complete the course and get the credit without having spent too much time or money. This is much wiser than spending more money and dropping out of a university course which will earn you no credits or certificates. 03.01.2008 | lovinfilms's blog Cat. : Business Business CDATA Entertainment Entertainment film course Film School Film school lessons students
