Manchester Film Festival - Official Feature Selection

ManIFF2015 is proud to announce its official feature selection for the inaugural Manchester Film Festival. All 20 trailers of the World and U.K premières were played and received with excitement and intrigue at an exclusive press screening at The Landing, MediacityUK. Amongst the films to première at the inaugural Manchester Film Festival, which is taking place at the AMC Great Northern Warehouse from 10th- 12th July, is the U.K Première of ‘Two Down’ which is produced by Stephen Fry and Sir Derek Jacobi and the world première of U.S film ‘Many Beautiful Things’ that features Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) and John Rhys-Davis (Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings).

Head of programming for this year’s festival Al Bailey said ‘The programming team had been working tirelessly under the radar through an overwhelming amount of submissions for an inaugural festival and because of this it has given the event an eclectic and well-crafted set of films to bring to Manchester in July’. Head of operations Neil Jeram-Croft added that ‘The quality of the selected films have now given the organisation a terrific platform to drive the festival forward in terms of added events, jury acquisitions and taking the scope of the debut international showcase to another level’.

The full line up of films and events are to be released on the 28th May at another press event to be held at The Landing, MediaCity and will include films less than 60 minutes that range from dramatic, documentary, animation, student, experimental and music video.  Clues were given away that the shorts program will also pack a punch, with household names and impressive story-telling to match the strong feature length line up.

Please visit www.maniff.com/official-selection  to see the full line up of features that have the added merits of including a film made by an Oscar winning director (My Voice, My Life) and many starring familiar faces from all around the world.
