storyWidow in the movie sends her young son to Gurukul for education where rich children were also studying. Those children were accompanied by assistants to guard them while passing through thick forest infested by wild animals. Widow’s son was kept away from the group for the reason that he is son of a widow. Once, while crossing the forest the boy – Gopala had to face a mad person and an elephant. He got scared and asked his mother to provide an assistant to him also. Mother was a staunch devotee of Lord Krishna. She tells him that her elder son is Krishna and he is engaged in guarding the cattle in the forest. He would come to the protection of Gopala whenever he called him. Accordingly, Gopala followed her words and got the company of Lord Krishna who appeared before him as a young boy. There develops an affectionate relationship between the two. Thus, this film highlights the intimate relationship between man, nature and God thereby stressing indirectly the importance of conservation of nature. Once, while chitchatting with Sri Krishna, Gopala was late to reach the Gurukula. After knowing the reason for the delay, Guruji was annoyed because he knew that the widow had only one son. Gopala was subjected to teasing by classmates. Guruji, expressed his wish to receive mementos from his students. Gopala requested his God brother to give something for this purpose. Sri Krishna gave a pot of curd which is very dear to him. Gopala presented this gift to the teacher. Other rich students presented very costly gifts. But, Gopala’s gift becomes inexhaustible. Guruji could understand the greatness behind this wonder and Gopala becomes dear to him thereby winning his love. Guruji could realize the truth behind it. He follows Gopala to the forest to get the darshan of Lord Krishna. A background voice (that of Krishna) says that Guruji had to wait for some more time before he gets God’s appearance before him and disappears. Thus, it is evident that God is close to innocent people than intelligent people and to poor people than rich people. The message that God manifests in the children is also highlighted in this film. 28.12.2010 | mohanohi's blog Cat. : Assistant Gaudiya Vaishnava Gopal guard Hindu deities Hinduism Krishna Names of God in Hinduism Sri Krishna Swaminarayan sect of Hinduism teacher Vaishnavism FILM
