Now
in its tenth year, the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival is a showcase for new
and classic children's films, TV shows, and DVDs from studios,
independent producers and youth producers. Programming includes sneak
previews of outstanding films, DVDs and TV shows made for children ages
2 through 18.
Call for entries opens March 15, with May 15 as Late Deadline

The Angel Film Awards celebrates films that impart love, peace, and
oneness in their creative spirit for humankind. Each visual creation

THE GALWAY FILM FLEADH 7th-12th July 2009
The Galway Film Fleadh, now in it's 21st year, takes place every July

THE SHORT FILM CORNER Cannes 13 - 22, 2009


Located in the Palais des Festivals, the Short Film Corner is a huge
area open to all the professionals registered with the Festival de
Cannes and the Marché du Film. The Short Film Corner proposes films
from all over the world, most previously unseen, as well as the films
included in the Official Competition, the Cinéfondation, the Director's
Fortnight and Critic's Week. Call for entry deadline is April 17th

PALM SPRINGS SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL June 23 – 29, 2009
This celebrated event is the largest festival of its kind in America,
showcasing over 320 short films each year from more than 40 countries,
with a library of more than 2,700 films available to film buyers,
industry and press in the Film Market running concurrently with the
Festival. The Festival includes twenty awards in six competitive
categories, with award cash or film production prizes in each category
( over $100,000 worth of prizes, in all). Call for Entries - Final
deadline: April 24, 2009

LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL

Now in its fourteenth year, the Los Angeles Film
Festival is widely recognized as a world-class event, providing
the movie-loving public with access to some of the most
critically acclaimed filmmakers, scholars, critics, film
industry professionals, and emerging talent from around
the world.
The Festival also features unique signature programs including
the Filmmaker Retreat, the Spirit of Independence Award
ceremony and gala, and Financing Conference. Additionally,
the Festival screens short films created by high school
students and has a special section devoted to music videos.

The Festival is a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit organization
supporting film programs in local schools, and dedicated
to making a difference in the lives of future filmmakers
