The Trouble with You will close the OIFF

The French film starring Audrey Tautou will be screened at the closing night of the 9th Odesa International Film Festival.

Yvonne is the main character of Pierre Salvadori’s comic drama The Trouble with You (En liberté !). She is a detective and a young widow of a police officer, local hero Santi. Suddenly, she learns that her husband wasn’t as much of a role-model as their son would think of him. A guy named Antoine was his prison underdog for 8 years. Yvonne is ready to do anything to help the handsome guy get back to his wife and continue a normal life. Anything, except for revealing the truth. Getting used to life outside prison is challenging for Antoine, eventually, he starts losing his mind, and that’s where the drama unfolds. Starring Adèle Haenel and Pio Marmaï in the leading roles, while French star Audrey Tautou, collaborates for the third time with Salvadori after Priceless (2006) and Beautiful Lies (2010).

Pierre Salvadori had his debut in 1993 as a director and screenwriter of the movie Wild Target. Since then he was directed more than 10 films. In his work he touches more the sentimental aspects like, friendship and betrayal, truth and lies, loyalty and temptation. The Trouble with You won the SACD Award at the Directors’ Fortnight of 2018 Cannes Film Festival

The screening will be held on July 21, the closing day of the Odesa International Film Festival, at the Festival Palace.
