In 2010, the Off/Short comes back and this time it will take place next 27, 28 and 29 august in Aisne - north of France.
The event remains the same : give the opportunity to every short films’ or programmes’ scriptwriters, directors and producers to show their creations directly to the audience and people of film industry.
A place composed of short-lived screening spaces calling for the unrestrained ‘invaders’ imagination. Each participant (alone or in group) creates his own broadcasting space.
Are you an invader ?
Writers, directors, producers, distributors, collectives, associations, groups, pictures builders, reporters, experimental video directors, amateur video-makers, kinoïtes, video performance artist (video jockey), …
Short films or programmes distributors : associations, festivals, Web Tv, Tv Channel, Cinemas, editors, mobile phone operator,…
Film Schools, training institutions, …
Associations, Schools, Universities directing short films within the framework of cultural or artistic projets, …
The Off/short also greets people working on a project and who would like to find partnerships and financing.
Broadcasting way
Every broadcasting technique is possible : from mobile phone screen to cinema screen, tv screen or computer screen for example…
The Catalogue
Each invader has a presentation page in the Off/short catalogue. 5000 copies will be distributed during the Off/short.
Duration / Timetable
The Off/short lasts 2 days including a big part of each night. It generally starts on a Friday evening and ends on a Sunday afternoon.
Setting takes place on Thursday and Friday morning, dismantling on Sunday night and Monday.
Timetable :
Friday : 5.00 pm to 3.00 am
Saturday : 10.00 am to 3.00 am
Sunday : 10.00 am to 6.00 pm

(There’s a rumour going saying that some feature film managed to be secretly shown)

The short-lived Broadcasting Spaces( Be creative!)
Each ‘invader’ takes part in the Off/short with his own Broadcasting structure created and converted as he wishes.
Tent, caravan, campervan, bus, yurt, chalet, cabin, big top, container, tepee, lorry, shelter, inflatable structure, car,…
Any structure that can be moved and have the capacity to welcome from 1 to X person. No limits concerning the size of the structure.

From 2010 a nomadic city sets up two days and two nights in a different place each time. The Off/short is based on a simple idea : give the opportunity to every short films’ or programmes’ scriptwriters, directors and producers to show their creations directly to the audience and people working in the film industry.

Everything but a festival : no selection, no prize, no ceremony, no celebrity…Only 500 short films or programmes shown to the audience, more than 100 short-lived structures with unusual architectures and atmosphere.
