Cinetic Media is handling the domestic rights to the film.

 Kinology announced today that it has acquired international sales rights to A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, which premiered on Sunday in the Next section at Sundance.  Written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, the film was produced by Sina Sayyah, Justin Begnaud and Say Ahh productions along with executive producers Elijah Wood’s SpectreVision, Logan Pictures, and Black Light District.  The film’s cast includes Sheila Vand, Arash Marandi, Dominic Rains, Marshall Manesh, Mozhan Marnó, Rome Shadanloo, Reza Sixo Safai and Milad Eghbali. Cinetic Media is handling North American sales on the film.

Cinema’s first Iranian vampire western, A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT is set in the Iranian ghost town of Bad City, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls.  Bad City is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire stalks its most unsavory inhabitants. But when boy meets girl, an unusual love story begins to blossom... blood red.

Grégoire Melin of Kinology said, “I haven’t experienced a cinematic gust of wind like this since the first films of Jim Jarmusch and Leos Carax.  Ana Lily is most definitely the next big thing to watch."

The deal was brokered by Grégoire Melin and Ram Murali of Kinology with John Sloss and Steven Farneth of Cinetic Media and attorney Marios Rush on behalf of the filmmakers. 

Paris-based Kinology, founded in 2008 by Melin, has co-produced and represented such films as Harmony Korine’s SPRING BREAKERS, Michel Gondry’s THE WE AND THE I, David Cronenberg’s COSMOPOLIS, and Rodrigo Cortès’s BURIED.
