Important Deadlines and Dates:

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE: May 30, 2010, Fee $25 (Students, $10)
REGULAR ENTRY DEADLINE: June 15, 2010, Fee $30 (Students, $15)
EXTENDED WAB DEADLINE: June 30, 2010, Fee $45 (Students, $30)
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: Sept. 20, 2010
EXHIBITION PRINTS OR VIDEO (DIGIBETA, BETASP) DUE: Oct. 4, 2010

The Anaheim International Film Festival (AIFF) is a competitive Festival.  Winners are determined by a Film Jury and by Audience Choice.   The festival is open to US and Foreign films in five categories: Narrative Features, Live Action and Animated Shorts, Documentaries and Student Films.

Call for Entry Guidelines and Procedures:

To be eligible, a film entry must have been completed in 2008, 2009 and 2010.   For the review process, all film entries must be submitted on DVD (Region 0 or Region 1 and no PAL formats, only NTSC). DVD's should be clearly labeled with film title, running time and contact info. Please test DVD on several players to make sure it is playable.  DVD screeners will not be returned. Please do not send originals. Feature length films must be a minimum running time of 60 minutes. Short films may have a maximum running time of 30 minutes.

Non-English language films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of $30 (Students, $15). Extended deadline fee is $45. (Students, $30). Entries must be submitted with the entry fee and entry form which includes, a plot synopsis, cast and crew list, basic technical details and complete contact information.

More than one entry may be submitted. However, a separate entry form, preview copy and entry fee are required for each title.

Payment is accepted only in U.S. dollars, by check (payable to Anaheim International Film Festival), money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Do not send cash.

Films in competition must not have had major theatrical release, US broadcast airing or DVD sales on the Internet prior to the festival.

Acceptance notices will be sent via e-mail or fax by (approximately) Sept. 20, 2010. Due to the large number of film entries we cannot provide feedback or additional correspondence to films that are not selected.

If selected, a 35mm print, Digibeta or BetaSp of your film must be in AIFF office, Oct. 4, 2010, clearly labeled with return shipping information or current contact address, email and/or telephone number.

Film prints and other film materials will be handled with utmost care, but neither AIFF organizers nor supporting organizations can assume responsibility for damage or loss of the print and other film materials while en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival's possession of the film.

Film producers / distributors are responsible for shipment of films to AIFF. AIFF will pay for one - way return shipment of films. AIFF will not pay for international freight of US based films.

It is important for a selected film to have a presence at the festival. AIFF encourages all selected films to have at least one member of the film's production staff / and or cast present.

All film entries selected for the Festival grant AIFF the rights to use footage, stills, titles and information from the film for promotional purposes.

The act of submitting this form constitutes acceptance without reservation of all rules of AIFF.
