Venice Film Festival is only a week away and Machete is going to be there! - I can't wait to see that film ever since I saw the trailer to it in Grindhouse :)

The Power of E-Mails

Gosh what a few busy weeks I’ve had its been non-stop here in the ystwyth its only now that I have time to devote to a bit of blogging – and to be honest I’ve been missing typing away in my little ‘blog box’.

Today’s musing is nothing to do with festivals (although thats a lie as discuss the topic at the bottom of the page!) I’ve been thinking long and hard today about the power of the e-mail - the whole world appears to rely on e-mails for important things to happen and I personally don’t know what I’d do without it and I expect that most film industry folk think this. So big thanks to the man who invented the e-mail system

However, sometimes e-mails annoy me as I get spam (which always occurs at the wrong time, since you’re typically waiting for a more important e-mail to come) and I hate it when a vital e-mail doesn’t arrive to someone. Where does it end up? How does it get lost? I’m sure a techno expert would know about this and if he could e-mail me (ha!) a thumbnail sketch of this process I’d certainly like to read it….

Leeds are due to announce their schedule sometime today and Raindance is happening at this very moment – showcasing as always the best in indie cinema (what a great fest that is). In addition, A Serbian Film screens this evening – tremendous – am really looking forward to hearing how people respond to that film, I can see the Daily Mail headline being somewhat negative.
