We Want Your Films

Gosh its all go here at Abertoir Headquarters today! I am delighted to announce that submissions for Wales’ National Horror Festival; The Abertoir Horror Festival are now open.

In addition, for the first time in Abertoir history, the festival will run for 6 days (as opposed to a miniscule 5) from the 8th-13th November 2011.

I'm the Acquisitions Manager for the Festival and the key thing which we are looking for are 'different' types of horrors which are professionally made fiction and non-fictional features (both studio and independent). The same applies to shorts (15 minutes maximum, which can also be horror fantasy themed). Submissions are free and the deadline for all entries is August 5th.

This is the best part of my job - telling the world that we wantr to see your hard work. I love receiving undiscovered gems as these types of films shape our programme into becoming very strong and innovative. Watching all of the new talent emerging really is the highlight of both jobs - as The Acquisitions Coordinator and the Film Festival Doctor :)

Please visit www.abertoir.co.uk for further information and to download the application form. We look forward to receiving your film.
