UNVEILING THE 2023 TRIBECA FESTIVAL SHORT FILM LINEUP

Short films, BIG announcement…from a record number of submissions, we are thrilled to present a thoughtful curation of 76 diverse and creative short films for the 2023 Tribeca Festival!

The 2023 Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX, will take place June 7th to 18th and showcases an incredible range of narrative shorts, documentary shorts, animated shorts, and music videos – curated across themes highlighting love, family relationships, LGBTQ+ stories, “Expressions of Black Freedom,” Latin America, resilience, and more.

Premieres include Last Call directed by Harry Holland, starring brother Tom Holland; Shadow Brother Sunday, Alden Ehrenreich’s directorial debut; For people in trouble, a relationship drama directed and written by Alex Lawther and starring Emma D’Arcy; the intimate documentary short To My Father directed by Sean Schiavolin; and My Eyes Are Up Here, a romantic comedy starring Jillian Mercado, directed by Nathan Morris.

Catch special screenings of shorts like the June 8th world premiere special event of Flower, directed by Lauren Finerman and starring and produced by Misty Copeland. Following the film premiere event, don’t miss a once in a life-time opportunity to attend a Q&A with Copeland and the filmmakers, and live performances by Copeland's co-star Babatunji Johnson, and a group of NYC hip-hop dancers choreographed by the legendary choreographers Rich + Tone Talauega.

We love our shorts programming and can't wait to see where it takes us this year! Since our founding in 2001, Tribeca Festival has been a launching pad for emerging filmmakers, with 36 of our short film premieres having been nominated for an Academy Award and 11 going on to win.

From free-flowing music and dance to wild late-night comedy, join us for an unforgettable journey through short films. For the complete lineup of short films and music videos, click below.
