VAFI is a film festival for animated films made by children or youth under 18 years.

VAFI has no entry fee.

CATEGORIES:

(for films made by children and youth)

VAFI has three categories divided by age of the authors. In that way awards could be given more fairly. Every category has its name.

MINI – for children under 10 years
MIDI – for children from 11 – 14 years
MAXI – for youth from 15 – 18 years

PRIZES
VAFI will award five prizes per category, from which one will be the first prize and the other four will be equal second prizes. The prize will be the statue and diploma for the first places and diploma for the second places. 

BLUE VAFI

From 2012 in cooperation with UNICEF and Croatia Office for Children's Rights we will also give Blue VAFI - award for the film which promots the Children's rights. The prize is given out of the catories - one first and four equal second prizes. First prize is statue Blue VAFI and Blue diploma, and second prizes are Blue diplomas.

VAFI SENIOR

From now on VAFI you can submit animated films for children. Animated films for children are submitted on VAFI SENIOR. You can submit your film(s) on VAFI SENIOR as amateur, student, club, studio or professional. VAFI SENIOR for the first year won't be competative.

Animated films for children (VAFI SENIOR) you can submit in 4 categories:
MICRO – for children up to 6 years
MINI – for children from 7 to 10 years
MIDI – for children from 11 to 14 years
MAXI – for youth from 15 to 18 years
