Final composition of VOICES Festival Competition Jury
The VOICES Festival is proud to announce the final composition of its Jury for this first edition. A master of Russian and international cinema, Sergei Bodrov, will honor us with his presence as the Jury president. Russian screenwriter, director and producer Serguei Bodrov is famous for his award-winning films ‘The Prisoner of the Caucasus’ (nominated for the Oscars and the Golden Globes in 1996) and ‘Mongol’ (nominated for the Oscars in 2007). The festival is glad to welcome him in its team and is positive he will pass on his enthusiasm and passion to the Jury.
Krzysztof Zanussi, a polyvalent Polish artist, has successfully worked in the different fields of the film industry: as a director, an actor, an art director, a producer and a screenwriter. He is also a well-known theatre director. Son of French comedians, Claude Brasseur has become, with more than 90 films, a French cinema reference and an extremely popular actor. His rich career was awarded by two Cesars (French equivalent of Oscars) for Best supporting actor in 1977 in the comedy 'Un éléphant, ça trompe énormément' and for Best leading role in 1980 in 'La guerre des polices'. Andreï Khalpakhchi is the director of Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist, known as Molodist. His insight of young European cinema will be very helpful for the jury. Daughter of famous artists, Russian actress Daria Moroz has started her career at age 2; since, she has played around 30 characters, firstly on stage with the Khudozhestvienny Theatre, then for television and cinema. Her young but already successful career was awarded by two prizes in 2006 and 2008 for her roles in films 'Nankin Landscape' and 'Live to remember.' Russian Actor and producer Alexeï Gouskov has started as a stage actor at the Pushkin Theatre. He then diversified his prolific career path by acting in feature films and producing several TV series. He eventually was named Outstanding Artist of Russia in 2001 and People's Artist in 2007. Nevertheless, he became famous in Europe only in 2009 with the successful movie ‘The Concert' in which he is the main character. 29.06.2010 | VOICES Festival's blog Cat. : actor actor and producer actress Andreï Khalpakhchi Artist Bodrov Bodrov Brasseur Claude Brasseur Daria Moroz Director director , a producer and a screenwriter director , an actor Entertainment Entertainment Europe European cinema european film festival Gouskov jury Khalpakhchi Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist Moroz Nankin Landscape' and Oscars Person Career president Pushkin Theatre screenwriter , director and producer Sergei Bodrov the Golden Globes the Oscars theatre director VOICES Festival Zanussi
