Love Your Shorts Film Festival in Florida!

user
We are not Sundance or Cannes or Toronto . . . We ARE Love Your Shorts. We aren’t like the big film festivals, which is good. And unlike some, we will be fun!  We aim to treat our filmmakers more lavishly (and with more respect) than your more well-known fests.  Our smaller and more intimate feel will make it easier to connect with your audience and fellow filmmakers.  You’ll get more face time with the festival staff and meet our judging panel.  And your odds at winning an awar...

Love Your Shorts Film Festival

Love Your Shorts Film Festival will debut Feb. 11-13, 2011, in Sanford, Florida, a community that embraces the arts – and is now ready to add a movie festival to its art scene.

The festival is open to novice and veteran filmmakers, both amateur and professional in all categories. The event will showcase films of up to 30 minutes.

Over the course of three days, participants and audience members will be able to see numerous short films divided by category and attend discussion sessions with filmmakers and professionals.  Meanwhile, filmmakers will showcase their creations and compete for cash prizes.

The inaugural Love Your Shorts Film Festival will be held in a former USO headquarters in Sanford’s historic downtown, which sits along the St. Johns River in the heart of Florida.

Sanford – right outside of emerging film hub, Orlando, FL – features a downtown cultural corridor, numerous art galleries, a city-sponsored jazz concert, movies in the park, an active community-theater troupe, and other art activities and events.
