NY Shorts Fest offers short-form filmmakers an ideal platform to screen their film and gain recognition in the heart of New York City. NY Shorts Fest premiered Ricky Gervais ‘Derek” in 2012, which became a popular British television show written, directed and starring Ricky Gervais. The series is now available on Netflix.

Cinema Perpetuum Mobile Film Festival Call For Entries !!!
PARTICIPATION IS FREE
“Cinema Perpetuum mobile” is an international cinema cooperation festival that gathers independent film makers and their groups to work under the theme of the perpetual motion. The project is aimed at cinema cultural diversity and the promotion of independent auteur movies. Festival co-operation aims to cover all countries and continents from Scandinavia to the Cape of Good Hope and from Patagonia to the Aleutian Islands. The participation in our cinema cooperation festival is free. Organizer of the festival is an independent association «Kinaklub.org», principles of which are cinemania, self-organization, decentralization, mutual aid.
The final part of the newly established “Cinema Perpetuum Mobile” movie cooperation festival is scheduled to take place on January 13-15, in Minsk, Belarus.
Any film maker or a film making group can take part in the “Cinema Perpetuum Mobile” festival. In frames of the project, every participant shoots a short movie (max. 20 min.) on the given topic, namely the perpetual motion, or the “perpetuum mobile”. If you already have a film of your own that meets the concept of the festival you may as well send it to us and in this way take part in the festival. The authors are free to artistically interpret the theme and develop their ideas on what the “perpetuum mobile” is. All movie genres are acceptable except for documentaries. No breach of copyright is permitted.
The working languages of the festival are English, Belarusian and Russian. If your film is done in another language different from the above mentioned it must be supplied with English, or Belarusian, or Russian subtitles.
Only registered participants may send their works. So please download a registration form here, fill it in and send it to cinemapm@gmail.com.
Registration is necessary for filmmakers who not have films according to a theme of our Festival "perpetual motion".
As a rule participants shoot a new movie specially for "Cinema Perpetuum Mobile".
But we accept any films whose appropriate the topic "perpetual motion" or one of nominations:

Applications to the 11. Marmara University Faculty of Communication, International Short Film Competition which
was being held in the national level over a decade will be realized in
the international level this year for the first time.
Just as last year, 11. Marmara University Faculty of Communication, International Short Film Competition will be held
in the memory of Dr. Bilal Çetinkaya who has passed away and through
whose contributions we were able to get to this point.
The fictional films entering the 11. Marmara Üniversity Faculty of Communication, International Short Film Competition will be judged in five categories being “Best Film”, “Best Actor/Actress”, “Best Screenplay”, “Best Photography” and “Best Original Music”
As it was last year, “Best Istanbul Documentary” prize will be given under the scope of “2010 Istanbul, Cultural Capitol of Europe” program.
In order to include the students and audience in the competition, the
films which have been preselected will be shown for one week at the
Marmara University Faculty of Communications. In this context the
audience will be asked to vote the films which have been shown and “Audience Prize” will be given to the film which has got the maximum votes.
