1- The fourth edition of the contest "Epizephiry International Film Festival 2010" is announced.
Proposing organization: AZULEJOS INTERNATIONAL - Italy

2- The registration to the film contest is free.

3- MAIN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION SECTIONS
1) Section SHORT FILMS - for films of 15 minutes duration maximum;
2) Section MEDIUM FILMS - for films of 40 minutes duration maximum;
3) Section ANIMATION FILMS - no duration limits;
4) Section DOCUMENTARIES - no duration limits;
5) Section MUSIC VIDEOCLIPS - no duration limits.

4- The maximum duration for the first two sections is to be considered as including the head and final titles. The films exceeding those limits will be excluded from the contest. Films coming from abroad must necessarily be provided with Italian subtitles and/or commentary.

5- The theme of the contest is free and any contestant is given the possibility to participate with a maximum of 2 works even in different sections.

6- The finalists and winners in the different sections will be asked for a trailer (in high quality Avi format) and some frames from the film (in JPG format). Whoever may be interested can send the above mentioned items in the same envelope as the film participating in the contest.

7- Works realized by organized groups, such as Associations and schools of any kind and degree, are accepted. In this case, works are to be presented by a representative.

8- The selection of the films admitted to the contest and of the subsequent sending to the jury is an exclusive competence of the Artistic Direction of the Festival, availing of its staff. The jury is to be nominated by the Film Festival's Artistic Director.

9- To participate in the Epizephiry IFF it is necessary to clearly fill in the application form attached to this advertisement.

10- Furthermore, the Film Festival Direction will select, among all the participants and not only among the finalists, those films which, in their opinion, are worth participating de jure in other festivals or contests connected to this Festival.

11- CONTEST PRIZES AND AWARDS The first works in each section, in the opinion of the appointed-on-purpose technical jury (composed of actors, directors, critics, etc.), will get to the final and will compete for the different prizes. Epizephiry International Film Festival doesn't give prize money to the winners. In fact the philosophy of the Festival is to award and promote the participants' talent in any way. The sums of money - see the list below - assigned to each winner, are to be intended as contributions to the expenses for the audiovisual realization and production. Besides the winners, the best works will participate in National contests connected to the Festival and will go on partner TVs. For the 4th edition 2010 of Epizephiry International Film Festival the following prizes are assigned:
a) Best Short Film -Epizephiry Award+ 500,00 euro money prize;
b) Best Medium Film - Epizephiry Award+ 500,00 euro money prize;
c) Best Animation Film - Epizephiry Award+ 500,00 euro money prize;
d) Best Documentary - Epizephiry Award+ 500,00 euro money prize;
e) Best Music Videoclip - Epizephiry Award+ 500,00 euro money prize;

12- The organization reserves the right to add other prizes to the estimated ones and/or special mentions such as: best director, best screenplay, best photography, best subject, best actor/actress.

13- Winners of the prizes for the above mentioned sections are obliged to take part in the final evening of the Festival, or they will be revoked the prize money. In any case the money prize will be sent in 60 days after the final prize giving event, after the formalities. A person can be delegated for the collection of the prize, after a prior agreement with the Direction. Winners from abroad only are given the chance to find an agreement with the Direction on the way to receive the prize.

14- In 2010 Epizephiry International Film Festival will be collaborating with other important International Festivals and will share ideas and audiovisuals with them. The list of collaborations will be available on the Film Festival's blog .

15- Because of circumstances beyond control, of technical-organizational problems or in order to bring improvements, or also in case of previously unexpected exceptions, the organization will be able to modify this Regulation, giving information on the promoter websites www.cortofilmfestival.splinder.com  and www.myspace.com/epizephiry;

16- The referential websites of the contest where participants are given the chance to read news and updates are: www.cortofilmfestival.splinder.com  and www.myspace.com/epizephiry;

17- The e-mail address to be used in case of requests for information and/or to communicate with the organization is: eiff.direzione@libero.it. The phone number (+39) 339/4837149 may as well be contacted.

18- Those who participate with more than one short film are allowed to send them in one parcel, but have to fill in as many forms as the number of works they send.

19- Each work must be presented in n. 1 copy on a Pal DVD, in a suitable format for the digital reading on computers and/or common DVD players.

20- The DVD must be carefully packed for the shipping, so to avoid any damage. The Direction of the Festival is not responsible for receiving damaged works, which will not be examined by the jury.

21- Works must be sent from November 3rd 2009 and be received by the Direction of the Festival BY April 25th 2010, deadline for the contest. Works received after that day won't be admitted to the contest.

23- The participant films must have been realized after January 1st 2008 and in the application form information must be given on previous participation in other contests and on winning prizes and awards.

24- The works received will not be given back and the organization reserves the right to use them in various events, exhibitions and/or other contests organized and connected to the Festival, in TV shows and to broadcast them on its websites.

25- Signing the application form, everything written in this contest advertisement is considered as approved.

26- The contest finalists in the different sections will receive communication from the organization by May 10th 2010, through the referential websites (indicated in point 16), by sms or by e-mail (on this purpose, a valid and frequently checked e-mail address must be indicated in the form).

29- Prize or other award winners will be contacted by the organization by the end of May 2010 with the same modalities mentioned in the previous point. On that date, also the date of the prize giving event will be communicated, and it will take place in Sant'Ilario dello Jonio (RC) in June during the final evening of the "Epizephiry Award 2010".
