We are creating a category that is an interactive, non-genre, reciprocal relationship between the participating countries for the purpose of promoting and encouraging a borderless film community which circulates emerging filmmaker's work through submissions and attendance at Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival.

With the Film North Film Alliance, we are creating a secure, low key event for film buffs to participate with international filmmakers in a dialogue exclusive to their particular concerns but also inclusive of multi-nationalities. At Film North we offer a safe forum for dialogue where filmmakers from around the world are free to express themselves. A distinguished moderator will be announced.

We are building cultural bridges through a meeting of minds. By recognizing the existence of a common love of cinema, the family of man is nurtured.
We invite and welcome filmmakers and film submissions to screen and compete in all our categories.

A Question and Answer Forum Session with participating film makers accompanying their films, will follow each of the four time slotted feature screenings, in Partners Hall, Algonquin Theatre. The audience and media are invited to participate in these forums

The Town of Huntsville, is one of six municipalities in Muskoka. This includes Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, the Townships of Georgian Bay, Lake of Bays, Muskoka Lakes, the Wahta Mohawk Territory and Moose Point 79. We are visited by 2.1 million people per year. There are 100,000 seasonal residents, 50,000 permanent residents many from the film, arts and cultural arenas. We have been known as a 'Summer Colony'. But demographics indicate this is changing with more people living and working here year round. Film North will extend the season through September by offering a venue for patrons to participate in world-class cinema away from large urban stresses. Adjacent to Algonquin Park's 7,630 sq. km. of lakeland forest, Huntsville's 700.9 sq.km. will continue to attract visitors to this northern oasis of paradise.

Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival prefers online entries submitted via Withoutabox.com, which provides cost-saving, paperless submission to film festivals around the world. Withoutabox's internet-only submission platform features online applications via one master entry form, online fee payments, press kits, and the option to use Secure Online Screeners, an economical, eco-friendly, and secure alternative to traditional hard-copy DVD submissions. Fill out one master entry form and take advantage of quick entry, extended deadlines, and powerful submission management tools.

Tickets and passes for Film North are on sale through the Algonquin Theatre
