This marks the 3rd year for the Imphal International Short Film Festival. IISFF has continued to grow every year. Submissions end November 30,2014, submit through online or through the festivals website, imphalfest.blogspot.in. We are open to all genres and do not judge on content, only quality. IISFF  is entry free and supports every filmmakers around the world. With 23 award categories, IISFF is the giggest short film festival in Northeast India.  
 
We are screening more than 100 International Films and another 50 Indian films in our Third edition of the festival.

The third edition of Imphal International Short Film Festival 2014 will be held from 19th December to 21st December 2014 and expecting to screen some of the finest films from around the world. In what is expected to boost filmmaking in northeast region, the Legend Studio in the Manipur has decided to support independent filmmakers in making films and documentaries.
 
Starting 2014 edition of IISFF, there will be no entry fees. This is to encourage the short film makers around the globe.
 
 
 
Rules and Regulations:
1. Every short film produced between the period (January 2012 till September 2014) and up to 40 minutes long can register in the Third Imphal International Short Film Festival 2014.
2. No work or artist will be either discriminated or favored by their country of origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, or by their economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.
3. For equality of opportunities, whichever the original format (film, analogical video, digital video, animation), all the films will be evaluated in the same standard digital format.
4. All non-English foreign films / regional Indian films must have English sub-titles.
5. Hindi films should be dubbed in English language for the purpose of screening to general public, else will be consider for Jury section only (due to ban on Hindi films in Manipur).
6. Film must be submitted on DVD in the AVI/MPEG FORMAT ONLY (Festival Management will not be responsible if film is not screened due to problem with the DVD).
7. Along with the film, three stills of the film and a 60 second promo of the film should be sent for promotional activities.
8. Late deadline for registration is 30th November, 2014.
9. All films which are selected / nominated for the Festival, will be informed by emails & listed on our Web site www.imphalfest.blogspot.in
10. Starting 2014, we are waiving registration fees to encourage and support amateur filmmaker.
11. Preview DVD should be labeled with the title, running-time and contact email and phone number.
12. Fresh copy of DVD is required of selected film for final screening at the festival
13. Publicity stills - If your film is selected send publicity stills for promotions.
14. IISFF 2014 Festival organization has right to use the entries / send / selected / nominated films, DVD and materials from the film for Festival promotional purposes.
15. The festival authorities will have the right to retain DVD copies of each film as part of our festival library & which can be screened in different cities for media educational & non-commercial purpose, , however prior permission will be sought from the producer of the film.
16. The excerpts from any film entered in the festival may be shown on the Indian / international television / local network / internet etc. for promotional / publicity purposes,however with the knowledge of the filmmakers and producers.
17. Submitting multiple entries in any categories, however, each entry requires a separate DVD and signed entry forms
18. The code of conduct will have to be strictly followed by the entrants; misbehavior will lead to disqualification & legal actions.
19. Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over. Participation in the festival implies acceptance of these rules.
20. The decision of the management is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. Participation in the Imphal International Short Film Festival 2014 implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.
