Festival presentation:

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Promoting independent film and creating exciting networking opportunities for film-makers and film-lovers, plus plenty of awards!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Newport International Film Festival 2011 is a proud supporter of Welsh film, British film, student films, world films and independent films.

We aim to give you a great platform to screen your film, and great venues for your audience to watch them in.

We had sell out screenings for our 2010 festival, Prizes worth hundreds of £'s and more beautiful glass crystal awards than ever before.

We focus on films with a great story, great acting and that deserve to be seen.

We have excellent links with local press and will also post an on-line review of each film screened at the Festival.

Each film selected for a screening will be nominated for at least one award.

All film-makers receive two passes to the Festival, as well as receive discounted local hotel rooms.

Newport is a great city, with the Ryder Cup golf course just up the road and the capital of Wales in the other direction.

About British Independent Film Festival

The British Independent Film Festival is an event designed to showcase independent films from around the world with a focus on British talent.

Our aim is to bring maximum exposure to independent films, by having multiple screenings of your movie and national press coverage. We arrange interviews for film-makers, a red carpet experience at your Leicester Square premiere and ensure a packed house watches your film.

Also, movies that make our Official Selection are nominated for our prestigious awards at the closing ceremony.
