The spiritual cinema sheds light on the quest for meaning and inspiration, and has become a prominent trend in the film industry around the world.

 

About the festival
The international film festival “SPIRIT” takes place on OCTOBER 13 to 16 2010, in Tel Aviv’s Cinematheque for the 4th time. It will include three categories- Full length feature films, Documentary and Short films. The festival will entertain international film makers, art shows and talks inspired by the films that will complete the cinematic happening.

The festival is a  happening outside the screening halls as well, and is considered to be the leading event in its field in Israel. The screenings will be accompanied by a wide range of activities, open to the public, amongst them- spiritual art expositions, a colorful new age fair and live music shows from some of the best world music artists in Israel.

Tel Aviv SPIRIT Film Festival start on December 1 2009 to accept Submissions for the 2010 Festival, to be held October 13-16 2010.
We invite filmmakers to submit their films for the festival for films that never been screen in Israel. (Theater, Festivals, TV)

Entry Material
Film must be submitted as DVD copy of the work for preview, formatted for multi-zone or for Zone 1 (North America).
Tel Aviv SPIRIT Film Festival is a forum for filmmakers who create films with themes that inspire transformation and personal growth, promote positive global activism and create environmental awareness. It is our goal to create a dialogue about the global issues that impact us all and to amplify the voices of those who need to be heard.
All films submitted are required to explore their particular theme in spirituality with intellectual honesty, respect and in a constructive manner that does not attack or degrade the belief system of any other spiritual tradition or institution. We welcome films in every genre and format, short, documentary, art, animation and features to be eligible for consideration.
Non-English language works must have English subtitles

ENTRY MATERIALS
All entries must include an official 2010 Festival "Submission entry form" properly completed and DVD screener copy of the work.
Note: Entry materials will not be returned

INVITED WORKS
Festival programmers select and invite all films presented at the 2010 Festival, with premieres given priority. Invited filmmakers will be notified (by email, phone or fax via the information in the submitted entry form)  Aug 1 2010. Most updates and correspondence will be sent via email. Make sure to update us with any changes in your info prior to the 2010 Festival

Other Details You Need To Know
° Preview Format: DVD (NTSC Region 1-video format ) only.
° Label DVD and box with title and withoutabox number if applicable.
° Loss and Damage: while every precaution will be taken to safeguard all materials submitted, SFF cannot accept or assume responsibility in the event of loss or damage en route or otherwise.
° All submitted materials become the property of the SFF and won't be returned without a SASE.

SHIPPING – SELECTED WORKS
If your work is selected, you will be responsible for delivery of the exhibition format a BETA-PAL ( SX,SP, DIGI ) without any subtitles on the copy if possible to the Shipping Address (above) by the designated date.
Exhibition format will be subtitle to Hebrew. We prefer to receive a clear BETA copy (without any subtitle on it ) and transcript of the film dialog.
The Festival will arrange and cover the cost of the return shipping of your print or video after the conclusion of the Festival. We recommend shipment via courier in order to permit the tracking of your entry once it leaves your hands. Please ship DVD's properly and securely packaged.
DO NOT SEND IN FIBER-PADDED EVELOPES AS THEY MAY DAMAGE DVD
SFF will return or forward exhibition copies with deplomatic shipping only. All other shipping must be paid by the filmmaker.
