FESTIVAL  October 26 - 30

It is bound to attract both film-lovers and industry representatives from across Africa and beyond. A five day celebration of world class cinema which screens features, documentary and short films from around the globe with a special focus on East African film. International titles include Mad Max Fury, The Walk, ...

 

Film screenings will be held at a selected venue(s) in Nairobi, Mombasa, Malindi, Machakos and Kisumu.

MARKET  October 28 - 29

The market includes a 2-day trade fair showcasing the East African, Indian Ocean & Pan-African companies under regional pavilions, while the international TV & Film players will attend as participants.

AWARDS October 30

The Kalasha International FILM & TV AWARDS will be held October 30, 2015 at Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) Nairobi, Kenya.

The Kalasha International Film & TV awards are an initiative aimed at promoting the local film industry.

The Awards short term goal is two prongs; increasing the quality and rewarding the quality.
These are the two main aspects that define the development of a film industry the world over.

The awards help reduce the prejudice with which performing arts as a career is treated in the country.

The integrity of the awards is entrenched within the professionalism and ethical values of the Nomination Academy. The Kalasha Awards nomination academy members are picked from various film associations and must be persons of high integrity with a proven track record in the film industry especially in the production area.
