Zero Film Festival

Festival
Festival presentation:

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Zero Film Festival is the first festival EXCLUSIVE to self financed filmmakers and their authentically independent films.

Zero Film Festival is an independent organization and registered 501(c)(3) operating now out of NYC as well as Los Angeles, committed to helping under represented filmmakers and screening original and innovative films for cinema lovers everywhere.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Zero Film Festival - Focusing on a niche in the independent film community which has been under appreciated and ignored, Zero Film Festival is dedicated to screening self financed films from filmmakers all over the world.

In the age where the majority of festivals are Hollywood marketing campaigns, and even "indie" and "underground" festivals screen financed films, we are here to offer something different. We recognize authentically independent films and filmmakers who take risks and fight the odds to see their visions through.

The Zero Film Festival is the first festival EXCLUSIVE to self-financed filmmakers, providing a platform to screen their bold and innovative films in Los Angeles AND New York City.

In 2009 ZFF added its 1st annual West Coast Tour - screening selected 2008 films in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Hollywood and Orange County. 2010 will see the addition of an East Coast Tour, distribution channels and more...

---

Zero Film Festival has established itself as a festival representing authenticity, integrity and innovation. In 2008, we screened well over a 100 films from filmmakers all over the world. Over 70 filmmakers were in attendance from as far away as Singapore, U.K. and Bangkok.

Zero Film Festival alumni have gone on to receive distribution and financing for their next film projects.

Our nightly after parties feature the best indie bands and stretched till dawn.

ORGANIZERS:
Bradley Bores (Associate Producer) ; Mallia Sherzai (Artistic Director) ; Richard Hooban (Director) ; Richard Wellington (Programmer)

GENERAL RULES
Zero Film Festival is the the first festival exclusive to independent filmmakers. Your film MUST be self-financed.

You MUST include a cover letter with your entry, detailing premiere status, why you made this film and any noteworthy details we should know before previewing it.

IMPORTANT: Please stipulate in your cover letter if you are interested in screening in Los Angeles or New York only. Otherwise your entry will be automatically considered for both. Acceptance does not automatically include both Los Angeles and New York.

Along with your submission to Zero Film Festival, you can opt in to the ZFF Written Review/Feedback, which offers filmmakers a chance to receive feedback about their films. For filmmakers we aren't able to program, it will explain the reasons why as well as provide suggestions for making future projects more program friendly. For accepted filmmakers, it provides feedback and a base from which to gather a quote.
