About the Director:

Omar is born in Chiasso, a small town on the border between Switzerland and Italy. At 19 he moves to Fribourg (CH) and enrols in the University to get a Bachelor in Physics. Later he earns a Master and a PhD in theoretical physics and moves to Amsterdam to pursue an academic career. It is in Amsterdam that he has his first contact with film, after enrolling in a weekly course to learn the basics he successfully completes two short live-action films titles "Tiramisù" and "Nine to Five". He later participates to the 48 hour film competition in Rotterdam where he and his crew successfully complete the short film "Trust, unwarranted". In November 2015 Omar decides to quit academia to focus on filmmaking. His first realisation as a full-time filmmaker is "A City of Rust", a stop motion animation about a city that takes life in a junkyard and whose inhabitants are made of electric cables.

Cool!!!

Wow,

great reviews from very cool people for A City of Rust. Jan Harlan, producer of films such as The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Eyes Wide Shut and Artificial Intelligence: AI  wrote "Great execution and technical talent".

I can't stop bragging about it :-) !!!
