In 1984 he and his family emigrated to former Soviet Union. He is living in Germany since 1985. He studied film at the University of Kassel , Department Film and TV under the direction of Professor Yana Drouz and Professor David Safarian. He is one of the founders of NUR film group. His first short movies took part at the International Filmfestival Rotterdam, Montreal World Film Festival, Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen.
