The point of the film was always to communicate Robin's (the other homeless man in the film who as a result of making the film is now off the street) powerful message to young people - "if you're being abused - SPEAK OUT, STOP THE ABUSE, GET HELP & don't end up addicted & homeless like me'. If you run a Film Festival or have a venue where this message to young people needs to be heard please contact me & let's get DOWN AND OUT IN CANNES shown around the world & try and save lives before they spiral out of control and end in tragedy, like Ian's.
