About the Director:

Julien Pearly (his real name being Julien Pierrefeu) was born in Orange, town of the South of France near Avignon and has been living in Scotland since 2001. After completing a Master degree MSc Sound Design in 2005 at the University of Edinburgh, he started working with film students of Edinburgh College of Art in the creation of musical soundtracks and sound design work for short and feature length films as well as multimedia video projects. For the past year he has built an international network of filmmakers through his freelance sound work. He traveled in 2008 through Russia on the Tran-Siberian along with a group of people to do a workshop called Cine-Train on documentary filmmaking and did the sound design/music composition of "Lenin Code" (Dir. Nikita Sutyrin) that was premiered at the festival of Vladivostok and screened as part of the "Semaine de la critique" at Cannes this year. But a desire to experiment with movies and techniques, pushed him to step into the director cap and linking music and film together, he directed and produced this year his first short film “I’m Sorry LOVE”.
