About the Director: 

Ruy Veridiano (1975) is a scriptwriter and director.
After earning a law degree at Universidade de São Paulo and completing a course in Copywriting at the Creation School of ESPM and a Postgraduation at IBMEC, he studied cinema at Academia Internacional de Cinema.

“Pinball” is his first film.

Since 2007 he has been participating in the Contemporary Dramaturgy Workshops of Cia. Club Noir, under the coordination of Roberto Alvim.

He is currently developing the project for his feature film script “Idéia Fixa” that won the Script Award of the Special Jury of the Paulínia Film Festival.

Film synopsis: 
A teenager dabbles in witchcraft, which doesn’t work out, escapes from the cemetery and meets Death in a dark pinball arcade. Amidst pinball records and metaphysical dialogs, he tries to cheat Death and negotiate for another chance.
