Martin is an aspiring screenwriter whose scripts keep getting rejected. His long-suffering wife wants normalcy. To save his marriage, Martin abandons his dream and takes a job mowing lawns. Soon, a pair of mysterious characters appear in his landscape, making trouble and teaching him new ways to enjoy and appreciate his life. Martin is propelled onto a journey of discovering the power of a writer's imagination and the connection between reality and the unconscious.
