In the bitter cold, even the Russian post horns freeze. But Frieda does not seem to be in a hurry to return to her mother. In St Petersburg too, the girl does everything she can to stay longer with Munchhausen. In the Tsarina's palace, she finds a scheming  adversary in the shape of Catherine the Great.
