The Mission of the North Carolina Film Awards is to strengthen the independent film, television and video industry. The NCFA shall identify and recognize an array of talented filmmakers and their movies from across the state, region and nation. Features and shorts, are welcome at the North Carolina Film Awards, bringing in the widest array of artists from different disciplines.
The North Carolina Film Awards draws motion pictures and talent from around the world to North Carolina, one of the top movie and television producers in the United States. Our awards will identify the top achievers in their category. Every producer and director hopes to create an award winning movie. To a worthy cadre of independent industry craftsman, It is our honor to bring these hopes to fruition.
As the gentle chill of fall roll over the hills of the North Carolina piedmont, Raleigh is nestled in the shadows of autumn. The scent of fallen apples, old footballs and the brown of harvested fields lay under the red light of September and October. With summer's best of weather and autumn's best of cheer, welcome to the North Carolina Film Awards.
Fling! 2015 is evolving, alongside celebrating the best in youth and adventure film. Based in the Highlands of Scotland we are the perfect location to present adventure/ action shorts whether skateboarding, parkour, biking, graffiti or place hacking. If you make films and are involved in one of these practices then please submit for 2015. We are also welcoming fiction and documentary shorts and features.
The Fling! Film festival is an event that showcases the work of young film makers from across the world and the best in cinema. The festival is held in the idyllic scenery of Tain in the Scottish Highlands. Hundreds of people participated in the workshops and came to watch the shorts and feature films. We considered 2014 a resounding success and aim to build on this for 2015.
For the 2015 festival we are expanding the event to encompass more short films and a competitive feature element.
The Real Film Festival is a three-day community, arts and Industry event showcasing documentaries, independent short and feature films based on true stories. The Program comprises of film screenings, Industry workshops, panel discussions, networking events and film competitions for filmmakers of all ages and experience. Festival Program The Festival will be held in Newcastle, NSW from November 7-9, 2014 across a number of venues within the CBD, including Tower Cinemas, Newcastle Museum, The Lock-Up, Newcastle Film & Media School, The Production Hub, Limelight Studios & Civic Park. The Festival Program includes a variety of entertainment including the Opening Night Gala held at Tower Cinemas with a party to follow at one of Newcastle's unique venues, The Lock-Up. The Festival will also deliver an Open Air Cinema in Civic Park, film screenings at Tower Cinema and short film screenings at Newcastle Museum and a variety of other locations as well as a number of networking events. The festival will also screen a series of short films throughout the weekend as part of the City Evolutions projections program. The educational component of the Real Film Festival will see innovative Film Industry development workshops and talks held at the Lock-Up and other locations across the weekend. On Friday 7 November we will be holding 8 Industry Development workshops aimed at emerging film makers followed up on the Saturday with 2 further industry workshops, talks and industry panel discussion. Through networking events the Festival will continue to connect inbound and local filmmakers with the established arts community and businesses based in the region. The Ekran Polish Film Association is proud to announce the 5th Annual Polish Film Festival in Toronto (November 13 17, 2013) celebrating the greatest achievements of Polish filmmakers. The festival will open with SIBERIAN EXILE (Syberiada polska) by Janusz Zaorski on November 13th, 2013 with our star-studded gala during which both Polish and American moviemakers will walk the red carpet at TIFF Bell Lightbox, an extravagant start to a 5-day-long celebration of Polish Cinema through November 17th, 2013 with subsequent screenings at the Cine-Starz Cinema and the Revue Cinema. The Festival continues to grow each year by screening more films and drawing larger crowds.
For the fifth time we will present the most recent achievements of Polish cinema as IN HIDING (W ukryciu) by Jan Kidawa-Blonski, THE CLOSED CIRCUIT (Uklad zamkniety) by Ryszard Bugajski, THE FIFTH SEASON OF THE YEAR (Piata pora roku) by Jerzy Domaradzki, FLOATING SKYSCRAPERS (Plynace wiezowce) by Tomasz Wasilewski, VIVA BELARUS (Zywje Bialorus) by Krzysztof Lukaszewicz, PAPUSZA dir.
