Siraj Syed reviews Passengers: Window seat at the journey of a life-time

Siraj Syed reviews Passengers: Window seat at the journey of a life-time They’ve got it right. Not perfect, but right. Mind-boggling special effects and a mind-toggling emotional narrative. It’s an elusive, coveted recipé, and for once, somebody nailed it. Use state-of-the-art VFX, but blend them with an equally compelling story-line, sometimes shaken, sometimes stirred, and then pray you hit bull’s eye. Passengers is a journey that starts in outer space, but gets you...

Carmarthen Bay Film Festival 2014

Carmarthen Bay Film Festival is all about encouraging and supporting independent film and cinema here in Wales the UK and Internationally.
Our 2nd festival was a big successes with over 65 films entered and screened over 4 days at the 4 star Stradey Park Hotel. The festival was also a big hit with the attending film makers who had travelled from all over the UK and US to support fellow film makers.
The festivals audience was also very impressed with the diversity and quality  of this years films with attendance rising from last years by over 200%
This festival is all about  being open and fair with an independent judging panel made up of professional well respected  film and television  writers and critics .
The festival is not about making vast amounts of money off the backs of film makers, but giving them the opportunity to have there films screened and judge fairly. We operate as a not for profit community group. Which basically means  all money from submissions and sponsorship goes towards making the festival bigger and better year on year.
For this festival to grow we do need the help of you the film maker to make and enter your film into our 2014 festival.

It's all about fairness
Our is motto ‘This festival is honest’
The festival is and will always be, a champion of independent film!

This is what one of the many film makers that attend our first festival had to say!

"I was utterly thrilled to be involved with Carmarthen Bay's first ever film festival. It was obvious from the whole set-up that the organisers had worked hard to bring not only experienced and new filmmakers together, but also the whole community. I believe that this festival has been a breath of fresh air for We

st Wales and a great opportunity for Welsh filmmakers to stand on the same platform as the rest of the UK's talent in showcasing their work. I sincerely hope that this festival will grow and grow to highlight national as well as international talent right on our doorstep here in Wales. Thank you so much for your support with both my short films!"
