AFIA 2008: Call for entries

AFIA Film Festival to be held March 12-17th 2008 in Aarhus, Denmark is now accepting submissions for its third edition!

AFIA is an annual International Film Festival, held across second Danish biggest city – Aarhus. The festival focuses on auteur films (Debut features and shorts) by directors, who are at the beginning of their career, and internationally unknown (yet).

Short films that have been completed after Jan. 1, 2007 and debut feature films (both fiction and documentaries) that have been completed after Jan. 1, 2006 of all genres, forms and niches from anywhere in the world are accepted.

Young Scandinavian directors (not yet 21 years of age as of the film’s completion date), who reside in Denmark, Greenland, Aland Islands, Faroe Islands, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia, are invited to submit their works to Upcoming Scandinavia category.

The early submission deadline is Sept. 15, 2007. No entry fee is required for any submission postmarked on or before that date.

The regular deadline is Dec. 25, 2007. Here the entry fee is US $25, except for entries from countries listed above in the “Upcoming Scandinavia” category, in which case the entry fee is waived.

You may enter your film at the festival website (www.afiafilmfestival.dk) or through Withoutabox.com

We look forward to seeing your work and hope to meet you in March 2008!
