'The Monocineartstudio of Anna Polibina-Polansky' is 10 years of age!!Dear colleagues, I ought to inform you of how fruitful that period of time was to myself. I haven't visited my blog for long, but I managed to create dozens of short biograpraphy-and-lyrical films, all in verses. I know that many festivals, forums and showings worldwide may be interested in my films. The Russian culture and the culture of the Russian emigration over the entire 20th century, occupy a special place in my filmography. Dozens of thematic items has appeared in the list of my works, so far. Recent years have brought me fresh angles of visions and new prospectives... Let me mention just several of themes that I have developed in the recent years. These are my protagonists and main characters. Osip Mandelstam, Constantine Cavafis, Joseph Brodsky and his Leningrad environment, Asya Pekurovskaya, Dmitry Bobyshev, Anna Akhmatova (in English, Russian, French), Marina Tsvetaeva, Zinaida Gippius, Boris Pasternak, Emily Dickinson, Anne Sexton, Antonia Pozzi, Serguey Dovlatov, the 'silver age' of the Russian poetry, the lyrics of the Russian 'mental patients', Yury Vizbor, Russian actresses of the 70s, musical plots, the latest waves of the Russian cultural emigration to America and Europe (I up screened several plots in Europe, in such countries as Switzerland, Germany, France, Poland), the culture of flamenco, musical fables, the avant guard century of the European cinema, Michael Chekhov, Yakov Protazanov and the 'golden era' of the Russian cinematographer... Marc Aldanov, Semen Frank, purely lyrical films, Alpine plots (up screened in the Alps, in the year 2011). Here are my themes, and the major part of my scripts, I created at the poetic form. These are shortcuts, and many of films are comprised of several parts. Films are in English and Russian, for the most part, but definite works are also in French, Spanish and Italian. All films are created over my own scripts (in the strict, classical poetic form, as I have mentioned). If your festival or demonstration will ever welcome my films, we will reciprocally benefit from it, the use will be mutual. These are truly elated themes, and I embrace up lifted styles and manners. Moreover, those films are at the ridge of humanism and culture, and this tendency will last until the mankind abides in the cultural realm. You ought to mention the themes that occupy you the most, and I will send you the relative films at a separate CD or on a flashcard, so that you could enjoy the syllable and the manner in which I embody my subjects, themes and plots. I create the entire video-row (often in my self-made drafts, all by hand), the poetic script, the music for my films, I make the feature video cut and I embody the film in voices and tunes. I do combine all those qualities in my short and full-meter films. I hope you will join the row of my warm worshipers as soon as you get acquainted with my genres. In the year 2013, my 'Monocineartstudio of Anna Polibina-Polansky' is 10 years of age, I am proud to mention... Since then, I have practices an entire gamma of allegoric genres and feature topics. My metaphor is complicated, recognizable and ripened, for now. Let me inspire you with my themes, tonalities and stylistic clues. I took part at European and American film festivals back in my past, Also I am happy to inform you of that my short film of Anna Akhmatova, a great-and-tragic Russian poetess of the 20th century, received the Diploma "For the Genre Debut", of the RDFF (Russian documentary film festival in New York). The film was in English, and it was based at my own English poetic translations from Akhmatova, in the same rhythm and metaphors as the original poems!
