Bloody Harvest: A Celebration of Horror in Film

Hello all,

First blog entry, so be gentle.

We just completed a partnership with the organizers of, "CUT!2008" - a benefit and celebration of cinema dedicated to the art and imagination that goes into the creation of film. The festival took place March 29-30, 2008 at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, and turned out to be a cinephile's dream!

Through film screenings and interactive Q&A panels with special guests (in alphabetical order) NICK BICANIC, TONY CURRAN, MARTIN DELANEY, NATHAN FILLION, MICK GARRIS, JAMES GUNN, JON GUSTAFSSON, GREGG HENRY, JONATHAN JACKSON, WENDY ORR, MICHAEL ROOKER, MARK RYAN movie lovers got a glimpse into the methods behind the madness.

NOW we're busy readying plans for the most exciting new horror film festival of the year: "Bloody Harvest: A Celebration of Horror in Film" set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada October of 2009. The weekend is a way to recognize the many dedicated and talented artists who create the bone-chilling scares and excitement that horror cinema evokes and to bring the fans closer to the films and their creators.

My friend, James Gunn ("SLiTHER") and Adam Green ("Hatchet") are already on board and we are approaching talented directors like Tim Sullivan, Neil Marshall, John McNaughton, Stuart Gordon, Rob Zombie, Eli Roth and others.

JGAS Events is dedicated to its partnership with the community and extending support to promote awareness of the Wounded Marine Careers Foundation. As a charitable beneficiary, we feel that our event is a perfect tie-in for raising the awareness of the wounded veterans and the challenges they face once they are home on solid ground.

I look forward to being a part of this community and wish you all the best of luck!
